What is Spiritual Direction?

    It is time set aside to work with a trained spiritual director as you explore your life in the Mystery that is God. Meetings are private, regular (usually once a month), and on-going. During this time you will pursue personal spiritual growth starting wherever you find yourself on your particular path.  Telling your personal spiritual story is often a first step in recognizing God's stirring in your soul. Where is God calling you?

   As a director, I provide a safe, confidential place for your exploration.  I listen and ask questions that help you to see God in aspects of your life where the divine presence may have been hidden until now.  Because we call the Spirit to be present at every meeting, our work leads to growth for both of us.

     Growth always involves some risk as we let go of the old in order to embrace the future that the Holy is always holding out for us.

What Spiritual Direction is not:

    It is not counseling.
    It is not a strict set of rules or rituals.
    It is not a specific branch of a church or religion.
